Email is the one way to reach us.
- Data corrections. The page address, the figure you think is wrong, and the EIA table or release you are comparing it to. Our prices come from the EIA, so a mismatch is usually a timing or series difference, and the source reference lets us check it quickly.
- Questions about the numbers. Many are answered on the About page (sources, estimates, update schedule) and in the guides.
- Using our data. The CSV files on the gas price data page are free to use with attribution. You do not need to ask first.
- Press and advertising. Your organization and what you are asking for.
We cannot answer questions about prices at individual gas stations. The EIA data behind this site covers averages for states, regions, and metro areas, not individual stations.
Messages are read by US Gas Gauge and answered by email, normally within a few working days. A reported data error is checked against the EIA release it refers to; if the site is wrong, the figure is corrected on the page and in the CSV files, and the reply says what changed. If the site matches the EIA, the reply explains the difference, which is usually the survey week, the grade (regular versus all grades), or the series (weekly versus annual).
Questions about how a figure is calculated are answered from the methodology on the About page, including how the estimates for the 41 states and D.C. without an EIA weekly series are made and how accurate they have been. Privacy requests are handled as described in the privacy policy.
The site does not accept payment to change, feature or rank any figure, state or article. Any advertising on the site is served by Google AdSense and is labelled as advertising.
